Keeping Our Patients Informed

Does my insurance cover dental treatments at SmileSpot?

It depends. All dental insurance plans are different, and that’s why our knowledgeable team will always help you understand and maximize your benefits. We will file any paperwork for you to streamline the process and make your care as convenient as possible.

What’s the difference between a regular cleaning and a deep cleaning?

During preventive appointments, we will begin by examining your teeth and gums thoroughly to determine which type of cleaning you will need. Patients free of gum disease will receive a standard cleaning, while we will recommend a deep cleaning for patients who show signs of periodontal disease. Deep cleanings involve using specialized dental tools to remove plaque and bacteria from underneath your gums, and smoothing out the roots of your teeth to help you halt the progression of gum disease.

How often should I visit Dr. Pham at SmileSpot?

According to the American Dental Association, patients should visit the dentist twice a year for cleanings and exams. However, if you suffer from cavities, gum disease, or other dental issues, we may recommend more frequent appointments.
